Excellent tour by the Danish Guide of the Willow Tearooms, which are a stunning restoration of McIntosh and McDonald's designs and works of art. The ladies's tearoom is wonderful!!

As an architect, I have dreamed of experiencing the Tea Room since I studied Mackintosh five decades ago and was the primary reason we visited Glasgow. I was not disappointed. What a lovely space. Oh yes, the food and service were excellent as well. Certainly worth a visit.

Lovely experience. Amazing selection of teas. In the Christmas period I revoked the mulled wine tea (totally alcohol free). Lovely gluten-free mini croissants with jam. I missed the chance to attend one of the 2 daily tours at 10 and 11 am, but I still enjoyed my visit.

I got food on just eat and the driver delivered it it the wrong address and I walked over the the hotel but they would not open the door and talk to the reception so i spoke to them via the door intercom. I told them what happen and they accused me that no food was delivered there and I told them i got told it was there they said they cant do anything about it as the food was never derived. I then went to the restaurant next door to the hotel and when i left the food i saw a bag filled with the food i order outside the door of the hotel and the bag was ripped open.

I recently went for Afternoon Tea and while I had high expectations, the experience was rather average. The highlight of the meal was the entrée, which I genuinely enjoyed. Unfortunately, the rest of the offerings didn’t quite match up. The sandwiches tasted as though they had been prepared in advance and simply taken from the refrigerator—cold and lacking in flavor. Overall, it was an unremarkable experience and not one I’d be eager to repeat.

I was here about 10 years ago and have vivid recollections of a quality high tea experience. Today there was a stenciling workshop after a tour and tea and cake.
This is a beautiful place. Absolutely fascinating with lovely and professional staff.
The gift shop is a treasure and if you like tearooms Cranston-style or MacIntoah design, then you Must come here.
Didn't stop for lunch but the fish and chips looked & smelled particularly superior.
Situated quite subtly near the city centre, this art nouveax architecture and interior design is something to write home about.
Absolutely divine!!

Our tour guide Jamie was very knowledgeable and clearly had a passion for macintosh designs. The tour itself is excellent and the detailed restoration should not be missed.I would happily book this tour again!

An absolutely must visit in Glasgow! Mackintosh at the Willow is a step back in time to a grand era of class, style and elegance. Highly recommend the tour with Jamie to gain a better understanding of the history of the tea house and see the magnificent rooms. Would love to visit again next time I'm in town.

Beautiful decor! Great staff.
My group of six decided to have lunch after our tour (the tour was excellent). Lunch was OK but as I am lactose intolerant choices were limited.

Had the afternoon tea service at 2pm for a wee treat. Was an amazing experience overall. We had a dedicated server and guide for the room we were in who gave us some a bit of history along with our service.
They refill your tea whenever asked and you can choose from a wide selection of options. You don’t have to finish your tea before asking for another to try. My favourite was the apple and cinnamon tea.
I’m a picky eater and our courses were served in a pre set fashion, entrees, sandwiches, scones and the desserts. The entrees were ok, sandwiches (again I’m picky so I let my bf eat most), the scones were absolutely amazing! So cakey and warm, I was told they were made fresh that day and I could tell. The clotted cream and strawberry jam alongside were delicious. The desserts were good, the mini pumpkin pie was the star for me.
Overall I went to come back again, was a great experience and I can’t stop thinking about the scones

Yes , yes, dining in one of the Willow Tearooms designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Art Nouveau modernist genius, is cool. But what I was most impressed by at lunch was that I could order just the afternoon tea desserts and not the full tea! 😃 I enjoy attending teas for the company, but I admit....finger sandwiches are truly not that exciting for me, no matter who makes them. But wow, all five treats on that plate were amazing, especially the treacle tart pictured up front. 🍽️
My quiche was also good, but the coleslaw side was way too dressed and sweet for this American's coleslaw standards.
Went through the museum after, which was worth the extra $$!

Visited Mackintosh at the Willow with my friend and given the history of the building we did the tour before lunch. Megan did a fantastic tour which was really interesting and the founder Kate Cranstoun was some woman. We then had a lovely lunch with great service in such a wonderful environment and we will certainly go back.

Always wanted to visit, so we had breakfast on our first morning, which was wonderful. The ambience was lovely, as was the food and staff (especially our fellow Yorkshire lass).
Decided to book onto the tour the next day as we had missed the last one of the day. Well worth it for the information and history of the building that was very well presented. Made sure my friend and I who have some mobility problems were ok with the stairs and he got us a lift where possible. The staff in the shop too were very friendly and I would definitely go back. My friend is going for afternoon tea on her next visit next month.

Had a beautiful afternoon tea, then visited the exhibition and gift shop. I have a special mention for Yvonne, the member of staff in the gift shop, she was so friendly and helpful and added that extra something to our visit. Thank you.

A must for anyone interested in MackIntosh in Glasgow. We had the afternoon tea and this allowed us to linger for three hours and admire this beautiful place. While the afternoon tea was OK, that was not the reason why we were there

Heather was an informative and brilliant tour guide, and we enjoyed ourselves very much. It was a real treat to see the Salon and Billiards room and learn more about, not just Charles Mackintosh but Margaret Macdonald, and Miss Cranston's contributions. The love, care and effort put into the restoration of the tea room was obvious, impressive and impeccable! We will be recommending the tour to all our friends!

We booked in for some tea and cake, and whilst the service, setting and tea was great we were let down by the vegan scones (the danish was great however!). The scone was warm but had the consistency of steamed a cake? It was so stoggy and dense and not bread like in the slightest. I have never eaten anything like it before. The 'cream' was coconut based cream cheese which had no sugar added into it - making it pretty savoury/sour. It didn't spread on the the scone very well and was quite waxy. What I don't understand is that vegan scones come out pretty much identical to a regular scones - if you just change two ingredients in a recipe - so not too sure why this tea room has tried to complicate things with such weird substitutions. You could be serving the best scones ever! I would avoid if you want a scone but has other options like a danish which we would have again! :-)

We love Charles Rennie Mackintosh so thought we'd have lunch here. Nice enough setting although it's become fairly run down. Terrible service even though very few people having tea or lunch at 2pm. We never received all of our meal , what we were served was very skimpy for the price, and had to ask for water 3 times. Servers congregate around the bar to pass the time.

The tour of Mackintosh at the Willow lasted 45 mins and covered the history of the tearoom, why it was built, the interior and exterior design, it's many uses over the years and the restoration back to its current condition. On the tour you get to see rooms/levels that are not open to those dining. Well worth a visit!

My wife and I visited on Friday afternoon for the afternoon tea which she had been given as a birthday present. The tea was very nice with a selection of finger sandwiches and cakes, with bottomless tea or coffee from their very large extensive range. Our lovely server Alison was very attentive, ready to answer any questions on the restaurant or the adjacent Mackintosh museum, she really made the whole experience a very enjoyable afternoon.

Definitely an out-of-the-ordinary dining experience! We opted for the classic 1903 Afternoon Tea as part of a self-guided Charles Rennie Mackintosh themed day trip to town. The food was lovely, but it was the teas that really stole the show. Well-informed waiting staff advised us on appropriate choices for our various courses - their input was much appreciated, thank you! Might not be back for another dining experience too soon for fear of impacting too greatly on our waistlines, but... We'll certainly be popping back to acquire some speciality teas! No need to mention the splendid Mackintosh interiors - they speak for themselves....
